The Bluetooth communication option is a short-range wireless solution for connecting Doran scales directly to a PC or other host device without needing a network infrastructure. This option consists of an internal Bluetooth module inside the scale indicator (with no external antenna required) and a matching USB Bluetooth adapter for your PC. It creates a simple point-to-point wireless link – you plug the Bluetooth dongle into your computer, and the scale automatically pairs to transmit data. The high-power Class 1 Bluetooth system used by Doran supports communication up to about 300 feet (line of sight) and can link multiple scales to one PC.

Multi-Scale Connectivity
A single Bluetooth adapter on a PC can handle input from up to seven Doran scales equipped with the Bluetooth option. This allows you to wirelessly network several scales to one workstation for centralized data logging. The system is ideal for setups in which multiple nearby scales need to report to one computer (e.g. multiple production stations feeding one QA computer).

Bluetooth is an economical wireless alternative compared to a full WiFi network interface.
